Hello! I'm Rebecca!

Located in Grand Forks, BC.

Rebecca Brook approaches dog training for her valued clients with positivity and compassion. She has practical experience coaching puppies and adult dog guardians in group and one on one settings. She is educated and knowledgeable. As a KPA-CTP graduate from the Karen Pryor Academy, Rebecca has a skillset you can trust to help you find solutions and have your dog listen to you like a friend.

Rebecca shares her life with Emma, a goofy, bouncy 3-year-old goldendoodle. Emma proved a challenging adolescent who developed reactivity and while searching for solutions it ignited Rebecca's interest and passion for dog behaviour and training.

Why positive training?

Simply put, because it works. We’re fortunate to benefit from decades of behavioural science clearly demonstrating the power of positive, fear-free training to transform canine behaviour. We use positive reinforcement training and  science-based methods when working to change behaviour. We focus on building and reinforcing desirable behaviour, while also implementing management to decrease undesirable behaviour. With positive training we avoid common unwanted (and sometimes tragic) side effects of more traditional punishment based training. With this science available to us, well-educated trainers such as ourselves, have set aside old school methods in favour of safer, more humane approaches to training. Rebecca will never use punishment-based tools or force your dog into uncomfortable situations to get a desired behaviour.

Proven to benefit you and your dog while delivering results.

Wes Osborne, 2023

"We just completed 4 private training sessions with Rebecca and it has made a huge difference with Archie (1 year old Bernedoodle). We also learned so much about him through Rebecca's observations - it helped us understand his psychology better so we understand his motivations and how to best reward him. Archie was always very happy to see Rebecca and we appreciate everything she taught us."

Nora Cumming, 2023

"Our instructor, Rebecca, was great. She explained clearly what behaviours we were working on and the steps to get success. She was open to questions and provided great feedback during our practice."

John Clark, 2023

"Our rescue dog has some nervousness and anxiety - Rebecca has been so helpful with her training approach, giving us the tools needed to make him feel comfortable in new situations, and we're so grateful for her support throughout each training session. We wholeheartedly recommend her!"
